He started out as a journalist with Polish Television in 1989, while he was still studying Polish philology at the University of Warsaw. Since then, he’s worked as a journalist, programme editor, publisher, presenter, scriptwriter, director, author of media projects and lecturer.
He’s produced lots of programme series, both based on simple and effective ideas and using rich production means, in the fields of cultural journalism, social journalism, music, film and epidemiology.

He’s also produced concerts and artistic performances, programme blocks performed ‘live’, reporting and documentaries. For many years, he worked with the cultural magazine ‘Pegaz’ as a journalist and publisher. He started the social action ‘Rzuć palenie razem z nami’ at TVP S.A. and, as co-author of the entire project, led the first social campaign in the history of TVP S.A. using a media plan.

He helped set up and produced ‘Notacje’, which features lots of in-depth interviews with well-known figures in Polish public life. He also directed, wrote scripts and helped create ‘Czytajmy’ (Let’s Read), a series of short films promoting reading. This was the first time in TVP’s history that a series like this was broadcast simultaneously on six public TV channels.

He also directed, conceptualised and co-organised media press conferences and events, such as the ‘Noc Muzeów w TVP SA’ and the opening of the TVP Museum. In recent years, he’s produced (script, editing) and directed more than half of the 64 episodes of the sightseeing game show ‘Gra w Miasta’ and has co-written and edited the programmes ‘Hala Odlotów’ and the series ‘Niedziela z…’.

He also worked on ‘Dolina kreatywna’ for seven seasons, creating the script, editing and producing the episodes, and directing them. This project and scholarship programme for young artists was presented at the EBU marketing conference in Venice (2008) and at the INPUT 2009 conference. He was one of only two Poles in history to serve as shop steward at INPUT three times. He did this in Budapest, Warsaw and Seoul. His roles included programme selector, author of thematic sessions and host of sessions and discussions in English.

As well as making TV programmes, he’s a lecturer and coach at the Television Academy of TVP S.A. (courses on things like behaving in front of the camera, non-verbal communication, interview techniques, media appearances, and image creation). He’s also a programme analyst (he works with the Programme Coordination Office of TVP S.A.). He teaches at a number of academic institutions, including Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, SWPS University of Humanities and Social Sciences, Warsaw School of Advertising and Social Academy of Sciences. He provides training in Polish and English.
